About the New Year Retreat

You would be most welcome to join us for this New Year Retreat at the Ashram. New Year is an annual threshold space heralding the transition from the old to the new. It is a space we can use to pause, take stock of what has past, and gain clarity on what is to come. A threshold that invites time for learning, assimilation and reflection and the opportunity to re-envisage our aspirations and intentions.

You will be invited into this threshold space as you are, along with your hopes, vulnerabilities and aspirations; open to the authentic experiences of others you’re sharing the space with, and all held within the Ashram energies. It will offer a coming together and a sharing from the heart, all in the service of stepping fully and clearly into the year to come.

The retreat will include a celebration and welcoming in of the Near Year on the 31st, a focus on what we wish to manifest in our lives and a letting go of what no longer serves us.

The sessions will include guided hatha yoga classes, pranayama practices, yoga nidra (deep yogic relaxation), chanting/ kirtan, meditation and heartfelt sharing.

Furthermore, there will be a focus on the Gayatri mantra – invoking the Light of Awareness – as we embrace this threshold space and bring into being what we wish to manifest both personally and collectively in the new year.
