Karma Yoga Stays - Flexible Dates
Flexible Dates
“Work done with awareness is transformed into service, and service becomes a doorway to inner stillness.”
A Flexible Stay offers a unique opportunity to step away from external distractions and integrate yogic principles directly into daily living. Rather than attending a structured retreat course, short-term guests live alongside our residential team, participating fully in the daily rhythms, spiritual discipline, and practical care of the ashram.
During your stay, you will take part in our daily timetable:
-
Daily Sadhana: Silent sit meditation, morning mantra chanting, and Tuesday evening Mahamrityunjaya Mantra sessions.
-
Karma Yoga (Service): Contributing 5 hours daily to ashram life—helping in the gardens, preparing meals, or caring for shared spaces.
-
Shared Rhythms: Experiencing daily Mouna (noble silence) from 9:00 PM through breakfast, as well as silent periods during meals to encourage inward awareness.
-
Spaciousness: Ample unstructured time in the afternoons to rest, read, study, or walk in the surrounding Welsh countryside.
This stay is ideal for anyone looking to ground an existing practice, contribute mindfully to a spiritual community, or experience ashram life before committing to longer placements.
Arrivals are restricted to between Tuesday evening and Saturday, as Mondays and Tuesdays are usually quiet days in the ashram, with no scheduled karma yoga or meals. If arriving on a Tuesday, please arrive between 5 and 7pm and ensure you have something to eat before arrival.
